Off the back of Grapevine’s extensive work in the hospitality industry we were asked to open Sun Kitchen restaurant, one of Melbourne’s leading fine-dining restaurants located in the iconic building that previously housed The Point at Albert Park Lake.
The launch involved announcing the restaurant opening to press and hosting a media dinner complete with a sugar painting demonstration, Sichuan Opera face changing mask dance, and an array of iconic Cantonese and Sichuan dishes including the stir fried wagyu beef, and golden crispy tofu and sizzling fish in hot chilli oil.
Following the launch event, Grapevine managed a series of media appointments and follow ups in order to facilitate reviews and various press enquiries.
The campaign coverage secured included positive reviews in Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine, The Age’s Epicure Good Food and Herald Sun Taste, as well as features in Broadsheet, delicious., Time Out, Domain Review and 3AW radio, together with an array of social media posts by Melbourne’s best food media on the night of the launch.
Later that year, Sun Kitchen was ranked in the delicious.100 best restaurants list – a nod to a collective team effort to introduce a quality fine dining restaurant to the Melbourne food scene which will stand the test of time for years to come.
