In order to bring Aussie walnuts into the foray in the lead up to the key Christmas selling period, we implemented an integrated social and digital campaign leading with the #freshlycracked messaging in order to reiterate the deliciousness of locally grown walnuts to encourage shoppers to choose Aussie walnuts.
This involved partnering with a couple of leading food and health influencers on Instagram who developed a series of Christmas and Summer-themed walnut recipes, which we then paired with a dedicated social media advertising campaign in order to inspire usage over the summer break.
Overall the social media campaign secured more than 11,540 clicks through to the walnut recipes and 868,503 impressions amongst more than 500,000 consumers.
The campaign timings also coincided with a sales promotion week in Woolworths which, combined with the social outreach, led to our client’s best sales month in more than eighteen months.
